Hello Ulmstead!

It was great to see all the Ulmstead Ducks in the pool again. Practice is cancelled for this evening. 

We will have practice unless there is a downpour, thunder and lightning, and/or the pool is closed. Communication will be sent through Swimtopia when practice is cancelled. Ultimately, it is up to the parents to decide if they think it is too cold for their kiddos.

Early Summer Swim Practices May Be Cold

Suggestions for early summer practices:

● Wear a cap or even two.
● Consider a rashguard. You cannot wear them at meets, but you can during practice.
● Some swimmers like a meal or warm drink before practice. Some insist that it makes them feel colder. Your swimmer may need to experiment.
● Keep moving. The worst thing to do is to get out and sit still beside the pool.

● If your swimmer needs a break, have a swim parka, robe, and warm footwear handy. A winter hat can be helpful, too! They can wrap up and exercise on deck to warm back up.
