It has been a great start to swim team practices! Here are a few updates:

1. Practices. Practices will continue to be in the afternoon through Tuesday June, 11th. Morning practices begin Wednesday, June 12th (please note this is different than what was previously shared). The morning practice times can be found here.

2. Swimsuits. All swimmers are required to wear the team swimsuit, often referred to as the "new style." The old style stopped being made so we had to switch a couple years ago. If you missed swimsuit try-on, you can purchase girls suits at Amazon or SwimOutlet.com and boys suits at SwimOutlet.com - select the black and gold/yellow color.

3. Meet Starters & Other Volunteers Needed. We are still looking for starters - meets cannot happen if we don't have a starter. Please respond to this email if you're interested for this year - or to shadow to do it next year. We also have some volunteer gaps for some meets, so our Volunteer Coordinators will be emailing about that.

4. Webmaster Needed. After many years of serving as our incredible Webmaster, Hannah Goldstein will be stepping down after this season. We are looking for someone to shadow her this year and take over next year. This role is critical - we can't have swim team without it. It involves running the website/Swimtopia, registration, creating data reports, and sending out communications. This is a great position for people who cannot or do not want to volunteer during the meets.

5. Communications Lead Needed. After several years in this role, I am looking for someone else to shadow me this season and take over next season. This is a great way to meet people and to know everything that's happening with swim team. It involves providing information to the Weathervane (which is pre-written and just updated annually) and sending emails to keep everyone in the loop.
